Advocating for Emergency Aid Programs in Higher Education Convening

On behalf of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Emergency Aid Network (EA Net), we welcome you to join us for a deep dive into best practices for emergency aid programs at higher education institutions in Texas. Come learn about the benefits, challenges, and future of providing this type of aid for college students.

Speaking on the first day of the convening will be institutional leaders, Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, President, Amarillo Community College, and Dr. Richard Walker, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services for the University of Houston System and Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services for the University of Houston.

The keynote and plenary speakers on the second day of the convening are; Dr. Timothy Renick, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success, Vice Provost, and Professor of Religious Studies at Georgia State University and winner of the 2018 Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education, and Dr. James Sullivan, the Rev. Thomas J. McDonagh, C.S.C. Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame and cofounder of the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities.
